Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang (fr. Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang; born June 18, 1989, Laval) is a Gabonese and French footballer, striker for the London club Arsenal and captain of the Gabon national team. The best scorer in the history of the Gabon national team.
At the age of 17, he was bought by the Italian Milan and enrolled in the team's academy, after graduating from which he signed a professional contract with this club. In the future, he went on loan four times to clubs from France - Dijon, Lille, Monaco and Saint-Etienne. As a result, the Gabonese signed a full-fledged contract with Saint-Etienne, this club bought him from Milan. With Saint-Étienne, Pierre gained recognition at the highest level, scoring 41 goals in all competitions in three seasons. In 2013, he joined the ranks of Borussia Dortmund, with which he won two German Supercups and the German Cup. Since 2018, he has been a player in the London Arsenal, as part of the Gunners, Aubameyang won the FA Cup and Super Cup.
In 2017, he became the top scorer in the Bundesliga, a similar achievement he also achieved in 2019, when, along with Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah, he received the Golden Boot of the English Premier League for the title of its top scorer. On January 31, 2018, London's Arsenal announced the transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia for 64.75 million euros[8]. On September 15, 2020, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signed a new contract with Arsenal until 2023.
On 18 January 2021, Aubameyang scored two goals against Newcastle United, which the Gunners won 3-0. The Gabonese missed the next three games due to the illness of his mother. On February 14, Aubameyang scored his first hat-trick in the English Premier League, this happened in the duel between Arsenal and Leeds, which ended with a score of 4: 2.
