Following a clash with Curtis Jones late in the first half of their Premier League match, Cristiano Ronaldo enraged Liverpool players and Jurgen Klopp. The Reds midfielder was on the pitch defending the ball while Manchester United's Portuguese attacker attempted to reclaim it before losing his temper.
When the ball was on the ground, Ronaldo booted it straight into Jones, resulting in a brawl between the two sets of players that threatened to explode.
Plenty of Liverpool players rushed on the scene to confront Ronaldo, with United's Bruno Fernandes among those who went to defend his teammate.
The incident was given a yellow card by referee Anthony Taylor, despite allegations from the opposing players that it might have easily been raised to a red.
Jones was clearly upset after the incident, and after the ball struck him from such close range, he was left laying on the ground in pain.
His manager Jurgen Klopp was also furious with the episode and was engaged in a lengthy conversation with the fourth official in an animated fashion.
